My question to you is- what is your motivation to get up and work out, or work out after a long day, etc? What drives you?
Losing weight for health, last time I got a physical I was in the obese catehory and that’s hard to hear.
Losing weight to start TTC in about 1.5 years, both for easier pregnancy and for easier recovery.
To have as much time as possible with my future family- I have paretns who are not in good health and that scares me.
To feel more confident!
What are your reasons?

My motivation is I want to be fit. I don’t have the goal to be skinny, but I want to be able to run around with my kids (someday) and be in great health when I get older. I’m currently considered overweight, but I’m working on myself everyday. Even when I dont feel like it, I do it anyway =)

My motivation is I want to look better for my husband and for myself. I don’t want to be fat. I don’t want to look buldgy in clothes. I don’t want to feel uncomfortable in revealing, tight clothing or a bikini.<br /><br />Every time I work out I get a handfull of those excess fat cells to go away and my scale rewards me with smaller numbers.
It doesn’t even need to be something serious. I use a Wii Fit and sometimes I’ll do the free step (Basically walking in place) for 20 or 30 minutes. Or on a beautiful day I go for a walk or a jog.

My motivator is rewarding myself after a week of doing it every day. I also watch tv while I go on the cross trainer and that helps! The results starting to show on the scales helps too!

My main motivation right now is the fact that if I don’t train, my Ironman on July 27th will really suck and I’ll have wasted a ton of money and a year of my life training for it. 🙂 <br /><br />Other than that, I’m motivated by competition with other people… 🙂 Strava has lots of bike/running challenges that keep me going when I’m not training for a specific race.

I want my confidence back to where it was when was in shape! I had put a lot of time in and got in great (for me) shape and was happy, confident, felt good, loved what my body was capable of and was comfortable wearing dresses, certain outfits and a two piece. Life happened, fell off the wagon, and now getting back on it to feel that way again. Plus want to be in that shape when we get married so best for him, our honeymoon and to make my pregnancy (future hopefully) easier and bounce back easier.

I gained a lot of weight and lost my self confidence in the process, I just tell myself that by sticking to my diet & working out I WILL see a difference, and I will regain my confidence. It won’t be as fast nor easy as I’d like it to be lol but it will happen.

Motivation doesn’t really exist. Routine is what will get you fit and fabulous. 🙂

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rocky Mountains USA
Feel comfortable / confident in my clothes,
Not suffer (as much) during the 3 half marathons I’m running this summer,
Be able to get out and hike, backpack, mountain bike in good enough shape that it’s fun and not just tiring,
Inspire / motivate my hubby who needs a bit of that by his own admission,
Get back into great shape before TTC next year,
And my number one reason is to stay healthy for a long, active, enjoyable life… the quality of life between a 65 year old who’s fit vs. a 65 year old who’s overweight and inactive is so incredibly different.

I’ve gained 3 stone since I met Fiance which is quite a lot but I supose spread over 3 years isn’t terrible. I want to lose weight because I’ve been chubby all my life and want to spend the rest of my life healthy and slim! I also want to be slim for our wedding and I don’t want to be overweight when we do decide to have a family. Also: Clothes. Love clothes, specifically dresses but I look pregnant in them (wouldn’t be a bad thing but I’m not actually pregnant!) I want to look good in clothes for once!

My motivation is I want to be healthy for my kids my future husband and I also want to look good for me. When we marry I want to look amazing in my dress and when we go on our honeymoon I want to wear a bikini Something I have never been able to do.

I started because i went off BC and decided to be in best shape ever before we TTC. Thats 2 years ago almost. Not TTC yet but i just love working out. I dont ever want to stress before vacation with OMG i gotta do juice diet, feel tired and unhappy.. so that kicks me

My motivation is to be fit and feel more confident. I was in my best shape about 2 years ago and felt so good about myself, I want to get back to that.
My goal is to finish Insanity this time, it helps me stay motivated when I get to cross off the workouts on my Insanity calendar every day and see my progress, feels good!

Be healthy! Plus, the wedding is a good motivator, and I would like to be in better shape for when we TTC. I’ve lost 20lbs so far. It’s a rough road, but it will be worth it! 🙂

Just re-picturing the scales screaming ’80kg!!’ at me is enough to get me running to the wardrobe and putting on my exercise clothes.
Also, wanting to be reasonably fit before we get pregnant, as they say you should not start a new exercise routine while preg… so want to have the option of being able to do good amounts of exercise when the time comes.
