I don’t think it’s too early. Are you PMSing at all? Even if it’s just readjusting to your last one being early, you should probably be having your regular PMS symptoms by now.

I’d get a HPT or two, just to put my mind at ease. It’s better to know, whatever the outcome.

Good luck!

I was so excited to see that it was you who posted this! From what you wrote, I guess you haven’t been TTC, but I think it would be so wonderful for you if turn out to be expecting! 🙂

@star_dust:  I’m confused. Your period was early last month, and this is five days after what it normally should have been or five days late based on the short cycle last time? Either way, I’d say test. Do it first thing in the morning with a First Response Early Result, pink dye test and let us know!

Sounds good to me. It’s only four/five days so it’s not like you’re making yourself wait some crazy long time.

@star_dust:  I think that sounds perfect…and I applaud your patience =) Do you usually fluctuate within a week or so cycle-to-cycle?

@star_dust:  I think your plan to see a dr may be a good one. How frustrating! It’s very possible you are pregnant, some women simply don’t have enough pregnancy hormone in their urine to show up positive on a test- that’s where a blood test is usually a lot more accurate. I’ve known many women who simply had very late periods or simply tested negative until they went to the doctor for a more accurate test.

Best of luck! Either way- I hope your symptoms and ick feelings go away soon. Period or no period, it’s no fun to feel like it’s coming on and it doesn’t!

@star_dust:  Weird question, but… are you on any medicine for allergies or anything like that? One year my doc gave me a mild steroid (prednisone? maybe) to take care of those and I skipped a period entirely. The next year, I hadn’t made the correlation yet and I had a 42 day cycle. Almost lost my mind trying to figure it out.
