5 years ago I was 17 and I’d just met my hubby at a summer music school for high schoolers.  At around this time we were about one month into our long-distance relationship after knowing each other for just a few weeks ๐Ÿ™‚  We were being driven mad by not being able to see each other for another month and a half!!

5 years from now I hope to have our first baby and be either finished with or almost finished with my PhD ๐Ÿ™‚

5 years ago I was still in high school…would have been starting my senior year in a few weeks!

5 years from now…hmm. Be married (obviously). Own a home, have a cat and a dog, be making $100k+ combined household income (we’re already not too far away from this goal so I definitely think it’s doable in 5 years!), get my driver’s license and a car (I’m 22 now and don’t even have my permit LOL), get Fiance a new car, have a nice garden and a put-together home, become the new “regular” host of family Christmas for both sides of the family.

5 years ago, I was 17!!!And just about to get involved in a relationship that would become abusive and take me nearly 2 years to scramble out of (if I could go back and tell myself not to do it,I would lol)

In 5 years,I will be 27,we will have been married (8days to go!) I will have started and finished my college course, and hopefully be in a stable career with a job I actually enjoy and starting to look into starting my own business, and maybe starting to try for a little one!

I have A LOT planned for the next five years lol

5 years ago I was in my last year of grad school in San Fran and in the beginning of my relationship with now-FI.

5 years from now I imagine we will be in a new home with hopefully one child and hopefully my production company business will be booming and I will have a documentary touring film festivals.

5 years ago : I was a 15, starting my sophomore year in high school. I was best friends with my now Fiance. We did helped each other with homework and wrote each other notes all the time. Even though we were not dating we were super close.

5 years from now: Graduated, have a teaching job, a real home, and probably a kid or 2 and one on the way! I can’t wait for these next 5 years!!

5 years ago I was just starting my junior year of college, very active in my sorority, and dating my ex whom I thought I would marry, but didn’t. Thank God.

5 years from now, we will be married for about 3 years? (I think), and I hope that I’ll be done my Master’s Degree and maybe be thinking about a baby, or be pregnant by then. Also, our house should be done being renovated SO we better NOT have decided to move! Yikes, that’s alot to do, haha.

Five years ago I was changing jobs (against the advice of – well – everyone) after working at my first “real” job for less than a year.  The job change ended a serious, long term, long distance relationship – because he knew I wouldn’t change jobs AGAIN in another year when he graduated; and he didn’t want to live in the city I was working in.

Five years from now I’ll be married(!!), hopefully working in a different position in my company.  FH and I will have finally decided what kind of dog to get by then, and we’ll have sold my townhouse and moved in to a 1920s bungalow with a yard.  We’re one of those rare couples who aren’t eagerly awaiting children, so no pitter patter of tiny feet in our plans!

Love this post!

5 Years Ago: I had recently discovered I was madly in love with my best friend (FI) and signed a lease to live with him 2 months into dating.  We were in Boston then and loving every minute of being in that city.  I was in my second year of work and never thought I’d last another year in public accounting!

Now: 32 days away from marrying my best friend.  We have spent 1 year together in Boston, 3 years in Miami (Law School for FI) and are now back where we both grew up in Michigan with a cute first home, adorable puggle named Lola and lots of fun plans for the next few years. Oh and I ended up lasting 6 years in public accounting (we’re stronger than we tend to believe) and recently left for a job that allows me to enjoy life more!

In 5 years: I plan to be happily married and in our second (and long term) home.  Would love to have a little one that I stay home with and work on developing my dream job – owning a bakery!  I plan to start it up as a not for profit while being a stay at home mom.  We will have traveled to Europe twice (2013 and 2015) and hopefully have established some traditions of family vacations with our friends who live all over the country!
