Tell her you have found somebody else that can do it in a week and that you’d like to swing by and pick up your dress. We’ll see how fast she will do it now! Lol, if she doesn’t act after that, you are better off finding someone else to do it because this lady obviously doesn’t care that much about her business… Which would make me question the quality of her work as well…

    Good luck!

I voted but there wasn’t really an option for what I would have done.  I wouldn’t wait any longer.  I’d go get it right now.

I would go pick it up now, don’t wait. She’s had long enough already. I hope you haven’t paid her yet!

I agree with all of the above…

and me personally i’d go get it. My alterations lady has had my dress for going on 6 weeks now, she put my second to last fitting in mid may (my wedding is june 8 :O ) I’m a bit concerned about it because of the amount of work thats going into it, plus the time frame…so while my gal hasn’t put me off like yours has, I can understand your anxiety.  That being said….I would go get it end of story. I like the first reply about telling her you have someone else that is doing it in a week LOL

What all is being done to it?

@Fruitypebbles193:  girl…that is A LOT of work,….take my advice (as someone you don’t even know lol) and go get it.

Mine is june 8th, my second to LAST fitting is May 15th (much to my dismay) and I’ll tell you if the seamstress that has my dress doesn’t have me come back the following week after the next fitting to finish up there’s gonna be an issue.  She pushed this next one out because of going out of town (really? during the busiest wedding months of the year?!). She has already complained to me about having *lots of june brides*. I know my dress is a TON of work because of the 10 point bustle, and she hadn’t done hardly anything to it the last time I was there which ticked me off because I’m a working mom of 8 kids (yes I said eight lol) and the salon is a 45 minute hike away, not easy for my schedule.

So I said all that lol to tell you please call her and nix her, tell her a friend of a friend is a seamstress and you are picking up the dress (if after you ask her *is it done?* or even worked on. If the answer is no and especially if she gives you attitude, go get your baby lol

There are so many seamstresses out there, I think you should get your dress and take it elsewhere!
