I want to drape my reception hall with sheer flowy fabric on the ceiling but since it’s in a barn, I was told the fabric needs to be flame retardant. Do you know where I can find fabric that’s still sheer and flowy AND flame retardant? Are there fabrics out there that are flame retardant already?
Thanks for your help!

@AngelaIm: I’m an interior designer and we use flame retardant fabrics all the time. You should look for the wording passes “NFPA-701” on the fabric label which will indicate that it is flame retardant for drapery. Most polyester is inherently flame retardant and there is a commonly used drapery and bedding material called Travira CS which is inherently flame retardant as well.

@AngelaIm: You can save a lot of money by picking your own sheer at a discount fabric store, 100% polyester and sending it to a company to flame retard it to comply with fire codes.
