Here is the deal… I am wearing Gwenyth by Maggie Sottero, and it has a lot of beading at the top, which appears silver…. but my bridesmaids are going to be wearing black dresses w/ light gold/champagne heels. I would like to wear gold as well, but worried it won’t match the top of my dress and might want something brighter. Maybe I could do shiny royal blue (my fav color) flats and could cross that off as my “something blue”? What do you ladies think???

In order to avoid the silver/gold dillemma I would just go with blue. I love the idea of shoes being a bride’s “something blue” anyway. And they will really pop with your dress, and you won’t have to worry about the conflictng colors because they will go with everything!

Yep, I vote blue too! If you wanted you could find some with a gold embellem on them if you want the gold too.
Like these Kate Spade, soooo cute!!!

@kmurley: Go with the blue, if it works for you. My dress was supposed to be ivory (with gold accents)., but came to me white (with more silverish accents)! I decided to just go with it cause I got a steal!! My shoes were already bought and I loved them ;
And my flats, for the reception, are light gold . My girls are all wearing ligh tgold heels. I am going with it and it doesn’t clash. All of my accents are light gold and sparkle! It’s all about what you want.
