hi again 😀

i don’t think it works very well. my reception dress is tea length and i know that i’ll need to switch to flats. i’ve tried some on with the dress and it just doesn’t look as good – still looking for the perfect pair!

I think you really need some height when wearing tea length. How about a wedge?

I never wear heels, and I think a tea length dress would be absolutely adorable with a fun pair of flats! I’ve also seen loads of BMs who’ve worn knee length dresses with flats, and they’ve all looked great. Don’t worry about it–wear what you feel most comfortable and beautiful in, and I’m sure you’ll look stunning!

@MyLittleTurtleDove: i think that kitten or 1″ would probably look better than flats. such a bummer because in theory it should be cute! i ordered some ivory faux pointe shoes and had my dad take some pics of me in them & the dress and it just wasn’t what i imagined, maybe it also depends on where the tea length hits you? this is mine, but i feel like it hits me maybe an inch or 2 closer to my ankles, so the height of the heels (mine are about as tall as the ones in the pic) makes it much cuter.

what about some cute wedges? or could you find a pair of shoes that will allow you to insert orthotics or arch supports?

I think it would look pretty blah! I think a kitten heal would look fab though!

I think you could make it work. I am short and tried on a bunch of tea length dresses and most of them were to the floor even though I had heels on.  If you are short and wanting a tea length dress with flats this is something to keep in mind. Altering a tulle skirt shouldn’t be a big deal though. Other than that I think that it would look super cute! Maybe a little ballet-ish with a tulle tea length shirt and flats… but that isn’t really a bad thing.

I think that depending on the dress, you could make it work. Maybe try ballet slippers; depending on the dress.
