HI GIRLS! 🙂 I recently got engaged and I am having problems taking pictures of my hand and ring. The reason is that I have very stubby fingers i am a size 9 and it does not match me at all so when I take pictures I feel like it makes my fingers look stubbier than normal and even gross! lol … I was wondering if you ladies had any suggestions on what angles are more flattering to take pictures so that my fingers don’t look so big lol any suggestion would be greatly appreciated ! and pictures are a plus! 🙂

Photos taken from above, fingers curved down slightly…honestly I’m not overly sure I just take lots of pictures and see which ones I like. 🙂

Have the camera angle as horizontal to the lower arm/wrist/hand as much as possible, to elongate the fingers. Ie. rest your lower arm on a table, put the camera about 10-15 cm above the elbow pointing towards the ring. Never take an overhead shot unless you curve your fingers to elongate them. I also have stubby fingers and have the same issue.

I don’t have much advice on angles but take pictures when your hands are cold! I’ve noticed that my fingers look best when it’s cold because they “shrink”…my fingers swell and look awful even when slightly hot (or while drinking!). Also, is your ring the correct size? Even if it’s slightly too small it can give the dreaded finger muffin top (this happends when my fingers swell and I hate it)
