- Wedding: April 2017 - The Waterfall
My fiancé and I are debating on doing a flip flop basket for our reception. Our ceremony is at 2pm, and reception is at 6pm. My thought is, if given the option, I would prefer flip flops Over bare feet. But as I’m typing this, I’m thinking people can bring a change of shoes and change at the hotel in between, if they are staying there. Should we get them still, will people wear them? Thoughts or advice!

There’s another thread asking about where to get flipflops and the same thing came up. I think that it’s a great idea! If you’re having a more formal wedding but then there’s dancing later, a lot of girls don’t think to bring comfier shoes (why we don’t, I don’t know lol we just assume we can grin and bear it haha). Last year, a friend of mine did this and seriously, all the shoes were gone! All the girls were wearing them! It was great for everyone! Personally, I think that going barefoot at a wedding is kind of tacky so having that option for your guests is great

weddingbee17: I think it’s a great idea and can double as your favor plus I’ve seen cute photos of baskets with the flip flops in them.

This is an adorable idea, very considerate and super cute in pictures!! That being said, if you are looking at your bottom line, and something needs to go at the end of the day, this could be it. With all the other expenses, people can be held accountable for their own feet. 🙂
