I prefer the look of floor-length curtains to valences or short curtains, but I’m a bit nervous to do them in the nursery. Have people done this? Would you do this? Would love some hive opinions before I do any ordering. Thanks!

Once the baby starts walking they will pull at the curtains, my friends has floor length vertical blinds and her toddlers pulled all the blinds out so they had to redo the room with horizontal blinds that only go as far as the window

I agree once the baby is mobile floor length is not a good idea. The child can pull them down.

@HisIrishPrincess: Good point! I forgot about that.
@bells:@Sassygrn: I know, that is my concern. We have a shade in there now that we won’t likely be changing so the only concern is the pulling of the actual curtains once the baby is mobile. Hmm..

They are definitely a target. Lol My son would twirl them around himself and yank on them. Not good.

@HisIrishPrincess: I was going to post that blog! lol
I’m also in the floor-length camp. I figure I’ll probably do the clip rings like in that article. I really don’t like short curtains either. We already have blinds, so I’m going to use curtains on top of them.

We decided to go with blinds and valances because we didn’t want Dirty Delete tugging on them and hurting herself.
