I need advise. Let me know if I am going overboard.
I met with two florists. #1 I wasn’t too crazy about and #2 I loved.
I just gave #2 a deposit for my wedding. Here is the thing. #1 had this beautiful cream colored centerpiece riser that I loved. It almost looked like a Roman column. It would go great with the venue. Florist #2 doesn’t have it.
Do you think I would be going overboard if I have Florist #1 do my centerpieces only and have the other florist do the rest? I haven’t brought it up to my fiance yet because he’ll think I am going too far by getting 2 florists. Am I making a big deal out of nothing? What would you do?

No I don’t think you’re making a big deal. You can use more than one. And if it’s what you want then go with it.

Have you thought about asking the florist you hired about renting the risers you like? Personally, I would not hire two florists.

Has florist #2 said they can’t do the riser? A lot of florists will rent specific pieces if you want them. Or talk to florist #2 about what else they can do to have the look you want translated. I wouldn’t hire separate florists though. The florals won’t be cohesive and plus why would you want to work with someone you didn’t like just because they have an accessory that you want. My advice is to go with the florist you like and they should be able to create the look you want.

However, you’d need to ensure the flowers and colours look right together

Thanks for all the advise. I think I will ask Florist #2 if she could rent those risers. I’m going to try my best to describe them to her.
I actually tried searching online for floral vases and risers and I couldn’t find what I wanted. I wonder which company a florist uses to rent those items.
