@tenley_31:  I made an aisle runner out of petals. Mine was 25 ft long and about 3ft wide. I think I used about 15,000 petals to give it a plush look. Many people use either tulle or an actual runner itself to attach the petals to. I also added a non slip backing to the bottom side of my runner to keep it from slipping.

I tried spray adhesive and it did not work at all!! Each of my petals were hot glued in place one by one…..it took MONTHS to make. I only suggest starting this if you have patience…LOL….I can’t tell you how many times I wanted to throw in the towel on this project bc it was so time consuming. It was def work it in the end thou!

Good luck with yours!

Here is my runner….not sure wat your wedding colors are but I am selling mine now since my wedding is over!

On the wedding day:

@weddingbound:  Was it hard to walk on?  I’m considering taking on this project. It will be laid out on grass. Just keep being worried it’ll be difficult to walk on.

@bluebelle23:  I walked on mine on tile. Yes I do think it would be hard to walk on it in grass!! I would say just line the sides if you are on grass.

I suggest doing something like this for grass or you will prob sink into it trying to walk on it!

I was actually thinking of making one with scrolls or curly Qs but getting the shapes right and then walking on them scare me!

I tried to upload a pic, but my iPad hates the Bee.

@bluebelle23:  Yep iPad + weddingbee = DISASTER….LOL

But yes I do think that if you try to walk on the runner in grass you will sink…..There are all different types of grass thou so its really hard to say.

I made mine using an aisle runner and did just the borders about 6″each. I did a pretty plush covering and glued the individual petals with a glue gun. Totallength is about 55′ and I used just about 7500 petals. I also bought white petals from the dollar store & dyed them maybe 5 different shades of pink. I can’t post a picture (iPad) but hope to using my laptop soon. It took about 20 hours total with mostly me & a helper for about 4 hours total. Definitely a labor of love. My wedding is this weekend & I plan to sell it after assuming it doesn’t get messed up. I will post pics soon. Also there is a site that sells the petals that also has a calculator for number of petals needed depending on coverage. Hope this helps!
