Darn it I wish I had my camera with me..sometimes inspiration can come at the wierdest moments!
I was out buying dog food and some tylenold cold pm formula (that stuff rocks if you can’t sleep and have a bad cold) and stumbled across the floral dept. at kroger!
they had tightly packed daffodils in gold containers (shimmery metal) and they looked great! Their smell is very springy-summery and would look great for a bride using yellor or for a pop of color.
Kroger was selling 10 blooms for 5 bucks but I’d bet if you shopped around you could get one cheaper!
I’m gonna try to google a pic of this type of bunching. You hear of tightly bunching peonies, carnations, but never daffodils. They pack a color punch!

Agh! You’re making me miss Kroger’s….or as we like to call it K-Roger’s…
I hope you find a pic to post – I love daffodils, my nana had a side garden just full of daffodils when I was a child, they always remind me of her.
PS: Am I a total dork for still having my Kroger card in my wallet? LOL…

I love them…but the arrangement is more tightly packed than the one in the pic.
when they’re super tightly packed, the daffodils just scream "look at me damn I’m pretty!". They just make you smile. I love daffodils.
My fave flower is really a tree. Mangolia. I love it’s smell, it’s large leaves, and it’s smell is what reminds me of childhood summers. But we also had daffodils in our yard too. Those are happy smells and flowers which bring back memories.
My Kroger card got me 10 cents off each gallon of gas btw! K-roger’s rocks!

I found the same tightly bunched daffodils at Safeway yesterday. They were an even better deal – $1.59 for 10 stems! I just couldn’t resist & now they are brightening up my bathroom! They would make a big impact as bouquets or centerpieces!
