So my wedding colors were a royal blue and purple. My bouquet has dyed blue dendrobium orchids with white. Our gazebo was going to have flowers with blue and purple and the bridesmaids were going to have royal blue dresses and hold 3 stems of white orchids with blue ribbon. HOWEVER, the maid of honor got a dark teal dress. So (trying not to panic cuz she can’t take it back or exchange) I said it was ok and I’ll ask everyone else to get the same. If you’ve played final fantasy x and seen the macalania scene with tidus and yuna, that’s what we were kinda going for. BUT NOW the decorators (mother in law and a friend of hers) are freaking out saying that our original colors won’t match. They started sticking peacock feathers in all the floral arrangements saying the decorations have to match their dresses, which isn’t the look I’m going for. I need some ideas. Here a link to a site with a pic of the scene if that helps

My main colors are turquoiuse and purple. I will also be carrying a bouquet of purple dendrobium orchids dyed blue. The bridesmaid are wearing different shades of teal/turquoise and are carrying light green orchids and hydrangeas in their bouquets. I chose not to use any peacock feather as well but I can see how they would relate to both of our color schemes. I am using the same green flowers from the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets to decorate the aisle as well. I can see a little of that clor in the scene from the above link. Hope this helped a little! LOL 🙂

I do decorating and flowers for weddings. If you do not like the peacocks don’t use them! You can substitue another color such as yellow, gold or cream or even a shade of pink or coral. Play with the colors and you will find what you like.

This doesn’t match your theme but here’s what I’m doing. My girls are in dark teal dresses and they are carrying bouquets of peach and orange.

Check out my Pinterst page (Go to the bottom part). You may find it helps with colour schemes. Maybe.
Here is what I am doing which is similar.I am wearing a full lace, sweetheart dress. My bouquet is teardrop White oriental lilies and blue dyed orchids. My bridesmaids are in a teal, sweetheart full length dress, they have round white oriental lilies and white orchids. Centrepeices are blue dyed orchids, submersed in water, river pebbles at the bottom and a floating candle on top, in a 30cm tall vase, on a round mirror with tealight candels surrounding.
So, I say don’t use too much blue in there. Adding peacock feathers (Although I too love them) will add yet another element. Stay teal & white and add hints of purple or dark blue if you like. Maybe the girls have purple orchids in their white bouquets??
Best of luck. Start a pinterest page. It is the best. All you do if “pin” a picture if you see something you like from a website and then you can see all your ideas coming together and eliminate ideas as you go 🙂

I agree with Becky33 and think the teal with white (and the picture of your bouquet is SO PRETTY!) is a great idea. I personally would go with peacock feathers because I love them too, but that’s more an element of theme (old Hollywood, Roaring 20s,etc) than a way to tie in all the colors of a dress. A small version of your boquet, with all white, against their very vibrant color dresses, would be so pretty. Maybe add some silver wire/twigs, which add some sparkle and work with your final fantasy theme, would be so pretty. No matter what color I choose (still working on a theme myself!), my BMs will have solid colors boquets so that the dress is the focus. Good luck!

I don’t think the peacock feathers are neccesary at all… Just do what you originally planned “white orchids with blue ribbon” you could either keep the blue ribbon… or switch it out with dark teal or dark blue ribbon.
