I’ve decided to get some pretty floral robes for my bm’s for getting ready on the day-of. I think they make for really cute photos and I also think that it’s a nice gift that they can use again. I really wanted to get the robes from Plum Pretty Sugar but they are a bit pricey for me since I need to get 7 robes. I found an Etsy seller (Singing Slowly) who charges about $40 which isn’t the cheapest option on Etsy, but her fabrics seem nicer.
My theme is French garden and my wedding colors are light pink and mint/celadon green. I wanted to do floral robes in pink or green tones for the bm’s but I’m having a hard time finding good patterns in those colors and am now considering totally different colors like yellow and blue floral because I don’t think it really matters what color the robes are for getting ready – right? Please take a look at the pattern/color combos I’ve come up with below and let me know your thoughts!
So, for my bridal robe pattern I am between these two:
Fleur Classique – I love this print, as it reminds me of a vintage French garden but it’s more of a pinky peach background rather than white/ivory so it may not seem as “bridal”?
Alpine Meadows – this one is soft, pretty, and looks a lot like the bridal robe from Plum Pretty Sugar
And here are the combinations I’ve come up with so far:
1. Fleur Classique (bride) + Swan Lake (bridesmaids) – this goes with my wedding colors since it’s mostly pinks
2. Fleur Classique (bride) + English Garden (bridesmaids) – blue isn’t my wedding color but I like these prints together
3. Alpine Meadows (bride) + Swan Lake (bridesmaids) – again with the pinks
4. Alpine Meadows (bride) + Fiorella (bridesmaids) – different blue robe, still pretty
5. Alpine Meadows (bride) + Rambling Rose (bridesmaids) – this is the green floral option they have
6. Alpine Meadows (bride) + English Garden (bridesmaids)
7. Alpine Meadows (bride) + Wisteria (bridesmaids) – yellow isn’t my wedding color but it has pastel pink and green in it so it might be nice. Plus I think these robes go best together

Also wanted to ask – which bridal print do you prefer? Fleur Classique or Alpine Meadows?

I really like the fleur classic with the english garden, I feel like it captures your theme perfectly. Don’t worry about the colours so much as it is for a seperate occassion and set the “getting ready” part of your day apart from the wedding while still tying in with the seem. lovely! such good choise in robes btw I love all of them

I chose 5 & 7; 7 is more soft while 5 is vibrant and playful. I think the combinations of both really compliment eachother well. I also prefer the Alpine Meadows robe over the other one, it looks more bridal, sweet, and romantic to me.

I think right now I’m between 1,2, and 7. But more votes would be helpful!!

My favorite was 2. Fleur Classique (bride) + English Garden (bridesmaids). Beautiful! Doesn’t matter if blue isn’t one of your wedding colors. You just want something beautiful for you all to wear on the day of and keep long after. 🙂

Hey bees – also keep in mind, if you were a bm, what patter robe would you think was pretty and would want to wear again for just lounging around your house or whatever?

Just for fun, I photoshopped my head onto the two bridal robe choice photos to see which robe I look better in. What do you guys think? Sorry about the really quick/bad photoshopping!
1. Fleur Classique
2. Alpine Meadows

@sofiekitty: You look gorgeous in both but I do love you in Alpine Meadows now!
I love 4 or 2. Personally as a bridesmaid I adore Fiorella, but I’d also love English Garden. Those are very “me” though and I love love blue. I wouldn’t worry about what matches your theme though – that could come across too matchy matchy 🙂

@ParisM: Thanks so much for the advise and kind words! I am so torn but at least I have until April to decide!
