Fi and I are trying to plan our honeymoon which will be in just 7 weeks!! We were really wanting to go to Disney or Siesta Key (or any other suggested place). We only have about $2,500 to spend. A few snags we’ve hit.
What types of things are there to do in Siesta Key? Fi isn’t one that can “sit back and relax” and he doesn’t want everything we do to be ocean/water involved (Of course, which I love!)
What are the best deals for a Disneymoon?? We were thinking 3 days of parks, a day trip to the coast, and discovery cove. We’d be flying from Raleigh so we need to be able to get flights & a car rental.

Me and my Fiance got a 6 day honeymoon at a resort in Fort Myers right next to Sanibel Island, FL including airefare (with layover), a car for all days, and the hotel for all days, for about 2k even. But we’re planning on being beach bums for most of it. We will be using the car to visit lighthouses, beaches , and we’ll be driving 3 hrs up to Orlando for HP World. Which is $300 for both of us. So total would be $2300 (including insurance).
We bought our vacation in full in May though, so prices might’ve been lower.
I don’t know anything about Siesta Key but I thought this might help you with your price range?

The Keys. St. Augustine. Destin. Those would be my top picks from a life time Floridian.

Siesta Key has gotten a lot of hype in the past few years and, as a result, is always packed. It’s beautiful, yes, but I would do Anna Maria Island over that, it’s much less crouded. Not a whole lot to do there besides relax though. I’ve done kayaking near Anna Maria, but it’s mostly beachside shops, restaurants and relaxing.
Crystal River is cool, you can swim with the manatees, for a more active outing. I don’t know anything about Disney packages, because I’ve just gone to the parks on their own as a Florida resident. I think 3 days at the park and one beach outing is a good idea though.
