I actually met with her today. She is new in the business and she does not a shop because she has a studio in her home.  To me, she did seem like she knew what she was talking about. I did ask to see pictures of her work, but she working on getting the copyrights from the photographers. But she will have some to show me. She also said she could do a mock up bouquet to show me what she can do. She is getting an estimate together for me. I didn’t sign anything with her and nor did she ask for money. She didn’t even want any money until month before the wedding. Not sure if she is would I will go with or not, but I don’t think she is a scam.

It makes me sad that brides are so skeptical of florists working out of their home. I do freelance design, and I work out of my house. Granted, I don’t use pictures that are not mine. She may not have been lying to you about getting the flowers. What did you want that was out of season? Look on wholesale websites, you can get most everything year round, but the cost does increase during the ‘off’ season. Do you mind sharing what flower you were looking to get?

“@FutureMrsMoore: Thank you but not having a shop is not what made me think twice…it’s the fact that the flowers I wanted are not availbable for my wedding (told by 2 other florist) and she told me that she/we can get any flower we want, from overseas.”

This is the comment that I was talking about. I was not trying to defend the picture stealing. I just was trying to let you know where she may have been coming from. It just seems that everyone is jumping on this girl. I wasn’t trying to be rude. I don’t think you had to.

I just used Jacki for my wedding this past weekend. She is a very nice lady. Her flowers were beautiful and she knows her stuff. She actually called me when ever she felt things would have to be changed. Anyways, I just thought I would leave a note just in case someone wanted to used her. She is not a scam.
