Anyone else feel totally overwhelmed when they got their proposals from the florist? We just got ours and there are so many different flowers listed, and I have no idea what half of them are (lots of Googling to come!). We didn’t really have any particular flowers in mind — just a general feel/theme that we gave her example pictures of — and I am clueless about flowers. I guess we’ll just have to trust her judgment that they’ll have the look/feel we want (her portfolio is just our style, so I think she’ll do a great job).
If anyone has any tips on wading through a proposal, let me know!

I felt the same way. I just had to google a bunch of the flowers and see what colors and feels I thought would look best. Its tough but it works!

@gymdive22: We decided to go with the florist that we really like from a personality standpoint even though she wasn’t the cheapest, we connected and knew she was the one. So after we sent our deposit Darling Husband sent her an email about making a mock-up centerpiece that we would pay for. She did it with no issues or complaints and actually didn’t charge us for it either. She had to sub in a different flower than one of the types, but used something similar so we could get the idea of it. We had a very beautiful arrangement in our kitchen for a week or so as well. It just cememented for us that we had chosen the right person and allowed for me to nix one of her flower suggestions that I didn’t like too. Perhaps you should ask for the same type of thing 🙂
