Hello fellows bees 🙂
I’m now almost 11 months away from the big day and I still don’t have a florist picked. I’ve met with three florists, and I was up front and honest that I didn’t have much to work it. I told all of them I’d really like to keep it at or under $1,500. One florist was close to $1,900 which was Golden Gate Studio, Studio 539 came close to $1800 and the last one, Florists By Alisa came about $30 over. I have no problem paying the extra $30-35. My last resort is going to speak with Stop and Shop and Wholefoods but I really am unsure about using a national grocery chain to do my flowers.
Any recommendations on florists that would work within my budget?

@littlemissvintage: This is totally off topic but I had to comment that that post was your 11th post and you’re an 11.11.11 bride.
Back on topic I just started looking at florists too. I’ve heard good things about grocery chain florals so I’d check those out just to see. I’ve heard good things about Krogers and Publix.

Aw I would have never noticed!
Booking a florist is one of the last two things I have to book. I booked a majority of my vendors between February and March of this year! I’ve already tried speaking with one grocery chain because my Aunt is a friend of the florist there but she doesn’t want to meet up till we are at least 8 months away!

I tend to notice elevens. It’s a curse. Congrats on being ahead of the game! It sucks though when vendors don’t feel the same way as you about trying to nail things down early. It’s like they don’t understand that things cost money and the sooner I have an idea about how much the better I can plan for it. Geez!! 8 months out isn’t that far away. . .ugh!!!

- Wedding: March 2011 - The Providence Biltmore
I’m using Red Velvet florist in Fall River. They did Zeb’s sister’s wedding and the flowers were gorgeous.

I’m using Stoneblossom florists in EG, but was also told to check our Winston. I didn’t meet with them so I don’t know how much they are, but check them out?

Winston is crazy expensive.
I love my florist, but she is also a dear friend. If you don’t mind some shameless promotion, i would check out Moira and Moss Florals (mossflorals.com). Her website is pretty out of date, but she has more stuff that she can email.

I ended up booking my florist a week after. I booked with Florals by Alisa, I was honest with them about my budget and they really worked with me 🙂 and were the cheapest out of 4 florists!
