I offically hate flowers of all types.
I don’t want real flowers for my bouquets. I hate bees, I’m sensitive to strong perfumes, they die, they’re expensive, they’re stressful (transporting day of) No.
I don’t want real flowers. I don’t want them from grocery stores, or wholesale, or doing them the day before. Lots of people want to help, but I don’t want to be coordinating something like that the days before. Some of us barely get along as-is, and I have tons of stress right now worrying about having a HUGE bridal party that I didn’t. want. (Thanks, FI)
My first idea after I decided on fake flowers was real touch calas. I recived some from save on crafts and I must be the only one who doesn’t think they look like real flowers at all. My Joanne’s foam calas look better. I’m not paying more for something that I think is nothing like what is advertised.
Then I thought dried flowers-like lavender- but our theme is more glamour, not vintage rustic at all.
Fiance hates paper flowers, feather flowers, satin flowers, brooch bouquets, butterfly bouquets, button flowers. They look “out of place” or “silly”
He does like lanterns. They remind him of the Tonberry, a reptile-ish creature from the Final Fantasy series that that carries a knife, a lantern, and wears a cloak. We’re getting married in the morning in a japanese garden. No one is going to get the tonberry refence unless the ladies carry knives too-and HOW DOES THAT NOT LOOK SILLY OR OUT OF PLACE?
He also likes parasols, but I have no idea what I would carry, what the groomsmen would use as bouts or what I would use for bouts for the dads & grandparents
When we were getting married on the beach- I loved this:
Welp, shells don’t go with the theme now.
Fi’s idea is to either have the above flowers in lanterns instead of shells and give the men “knife” bouts (to go with his Tonberry idea)
OR to give everyone parasols and give the men tiny drink parasol bouts.
I just want to buy the “random” package from budget-bride.com and be done with it-sadly Fiance doesn’t want all silks. Silks in Lanterns? Yes. All silks? No
At this point, no one’s carring ANYTHING
