I will have no flowers or leaves anywhere else in the reception hall. Do you think I could get away with having the handmade flower and leaf deco on only the cake table, welcome table and maybe one other one??
I am trying to figure out how to cheaply decorate these tables so they dont look empty. (All the tables are rectangular,no round ones). So my cake table will be very empty(cakes arent that big).lol
So ladies, u think I could get away with it?
The rest of the tables will have fall petals, and a round vase with chocolate shiny brown sand with a candle on the sand. And hanging from the ceiling will be round orange and brown paper lanterns.
I know I cant, but I wish there was a way to do a mock up of the whole reception hall so u can see if every decoration goes together!!!

For my friends fall wedding we made runners out of fall fabric and just used candles. The runners made such an impact that the tables didn’t feel empty. It is imprtant though to vary the height of your candles.
Something like this would work. Then please do get some nice florals for the cake table and made put some old family photos around it to? That would be economical as I imagine your family already has some framed 😀

@Earlybride: I’m not the best at imagining things, and picturing them in my mind, but I’m sure you could tie them together. Another thing that might help origami, you could possibly fold flowers, it’s inexpensive and relaxing, I’m not sure if that helps at all. Good luck!

@secondchances: Ohh good idea, I totally forgot about that, kinda like making part of those tables a memorial table, or something like that. I was going to put up photos of our grandparents and parent’s wedding photos on a table, but we weren’t able to get them all in time.

@secondchances:I like the idea of the old time pictures. Frankly I forgot about that. Maybe this will be a way to handle the cake table. We’ll see.
