I hired a florist that works with silk flowers and she came very highly recommended. She lives out of state so we have been corresponding solely through email. She has had fantastic communication… however she did not listen to ANYTHING I wrote her. This is the email I sent to her when she asked what my preferences were:
Thank you for your fast response! How do we go about the transaction as far as money goes haha. 🙂
-I like the round shape for bouquets
-I prefer little to no roses, I just don’t like them
-I like sunflowers, daises, mums, fall seasons blooms
-I would like just a little greenery in each
-I love monkey tails, or anything modern yet rustic looking
-Wheat is a big theme in the wedding (we are getting married on a TX ranch) it will be used in centerpieces and aisle decor at the ceremony, please use some durum wheat in each bouquet.
-The mens boutonnieres are . I like how the dark purple pops against the fall colors.
This was to give her an idea of EXACTLY what I wanted.
She sent me a picture of my bouquet about a week later and it looked like this:
First, I asked for round, not cascading-strike one
Strike two- what about this bouquet says modern yet still rustic looking?
Strike three- do I see roses? YES you do see roses even though I explicity outlined I did not want roses.
NO WHEAT WHATSOEVER-YOU’RE OUT!
I emailed her back immediately and asked her to remove all white flowers, as they just take away from the entire bouquet as well as change the shap. It went like this:
Can you please remove the white flowers and roses. I don’t like roses, and feel the white takes away from the dramatic look I am going for. Also, I asked for a round bouquet, as I do not like cascade bouquets. No offense, it is just a personal preference. I know that my bouquet is supposed to look different then the bridesmaid’s but I am not overly concerned about looking different then theirs.
I received an email this morning with these pictures:
Roses….. oh how I see roses
Wow, not one, but TWO roses! FANTASTIC
And the icing on the cake, big fat ugly grandma bouquet that I asked her to make round and this is what she sent:
THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT I WANTED
I wanted something along these lines, infact, this is the EXACT example picture I sent her:
I just asked her to replace the orange roses with something else….

I am on the verge of tears. Please help! Suggestions?
