Good Morning Bees!
I’m getting married in 41 days! I keep changing my mind about my flowers and I know I’m cutting it close now. Our colors are black and white, it’s an evening wedding in a historic building with lots of exposed brick and very little decor. I wanted simple, clean, and elegant. I haven’t changed my mind on the majority of the flowers, but keep finding new ideas I love for my bouquet.
My Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets are simple white roses and most of the other flowers, bouts and corsages, are also white roses. All the flowers have a green accent of some sort, like lemon leaf or other greens. The centerpieces are white hydrangeas, white roses, and a few green carnations. So I’m working with mostly white flowers with pops of green.
The centerpieces will look mostly like this
My bouquet started out with white mini calas, white roses, and dusty miller. My inspiration pic came from theknot magazine, but I can’t find it anywhere online. It was gorgeous, but the more I looked at it, the less I liked it. Then I found this on the Bee:
And I decided I NEEDED black & white anenomes. So I took this pic to florist and she was super stoked and loved the idea as well. We are still going to do the white roses, some ranuculus, the anenomes, and the dusty miller.
Okay, so after all that background here’s my question: The anenomes have to be imported in November and the wholesaler can’t guarantee the black centers. So my florist said if they don’t come in she will use white gerbera dasies instead to get the same black & white look. Do you think this will look okay? I’m not a huge fan of gerberas for weddings, even though I love them in general. Do I just need to let it go and stop obsessing over my bouquet and just trust my florist? I never knew I would care so much about flowers!
Thanks for reading if you made it this far!
