That seems reasonable (I’m used to Philly pricing, so this seems nice an inexpensive). We’re doing hydrangeas too, and our florist suggested silk for the boutonniere because they tend to get limp and brown quickly in boutonniere form.

Sounds really good to me, part of why it is so inexpensive (to me) is based off the flowers you picked (only 3 different ones total, and I think baby’s breath is pretty inexpensive).

I have almost the same #s as you, except one less Bridesmaid or Best Man and one less Groomsmen, but 3 extra bouts.  And the cheapest I could get for personal flowers was around $700.  And I got quotes from 5 different florists.  It has a lot to do with what flowers you use.

That is an awesome price.  I did my own flowers using only roses and calla lillies and spent about $280 and I had less BM/GM than you.  Based on what you listed, the flowers themselves would be in the $240 range and then add another $10-15 for ribbon/twine/stem tape and it seems like your florist isn’t making much money on this unless she’s getting a kickass deal on flowers.

@RheannaRaye:  Considering my Fiance and I are paying almost $2k for flowers, I would say that this is a really good deal especially for all the flowers for the bridal party! I know my florist is charging me $500 for just the bridal and bridesmaid bouquets!

That is a super awesome price.  I live in Indianapolis and have met with 4 florists and the best price I could get from someone that actually seemed to know what they were doing was $885 which included:

    bridal bouquet

4 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets

    toss bouquet

    head wreath for flower girl

    4 corsages

    7 bouts

    and 12 centerpieces

That price also includes delivery and setup and I’m really pretty thrilled with it, she worked really well with me to get down to the budget I needed.

Your Fiance needs to be educated in what a good job you did picking out flowers that fit your budget yet look amazing. You’ve done a great job keeping costs down. 🙂

But it wouldn’t hurt to shop around and get a few more quotes.

Does the $340 include fees like set up and delivery? If so, it’s a great price. If not, it might be a hair too high. Still good though.

That price is really great! My bouquet is $250 (was $150 without the expensive Gardenia). So you definitely found an awesome florist and selectred in season, beautiful flowers. I also really like the design you picked.

In my opinion that is fair(ish).  It’s a tad high as baby’s breath is very inexpensive, and hydrangeas aren’t that bad either, but if they are delivering them or something, then it’s perfectly fair.

I’d meet with another florist, get a quote for the EXACT same thing, and go with the cheaper of the two.

My first florist quoted me 1000 higher than my second for very similar thing.

Ask recent brides in your office, the gym, whereever–find out what the market rates are in Scranton.

Disclaimer:  I was so sticker-shocked by flower prices, I’m ordering boxed flowers and doing the bouquets myself. I’m likely a complete idiot, because I’m not at all crafty.  I might want to change my answer on 8/18 to Yes, that’s a smokin’ deal.
