You’re not being stupid, it’s not like submerging fake flowers is an everyday skill :). I’ve heard that some do and some don’t. It might be good to read the comment section if you buy it online and see if someone mentions it. I think the more expensive options like Realtouch Flowers would be a safe bet.

I’m doing submerged flowers with a floating candle too!  I bought preserved orchids to use.  I made a practice piece last night and the orchids looked great underwater.  Then I left them out to dry and they’re still in perfect condition!

They’re not very expensive, either!
