g1mase2:  Unless you have maybe 4 flower girls, that process would take a long time. You can hand out pin wheels with the ceremony program. How about sparkles, red white and blue if that is your colour scheme. Or they can just carry flowers like a bridesmaid. Or I seen some with ribbon wands in the colours of the wedding.

It’s called a kissing ball or pomander. It’s just a smaller version of the bridesmaids bouquet (and/or brides too) and it has a ribbon for them to wear around their wrist or hold it.

i didnt want to deal with the mess of picking up petals….so my Flower Girl is going to be carrying a mini silk version of my boquet….if you love the pinwheel thing….why not just have your Flower Girl carry one down and play with it on the way down and have ones for everyone else set out….

Our church won’t even let us do flower petals anymore because it gets messy and would take forever to clean it up.  But since our flower girl was so set on having a basket, we got her a mini bouquet and putting it in the basket that way she’s carrying something arond in a pretty little basket.

I’d just have her carry something.  Having a little kid hand things to a bunch of strangers sounds like a recipe for trouble.  Cute trouble, but cute trouble that’s going to get old within like, 3 people.

I gave my flower girl my toss bouquet to carry. It looked adorable and was free.

g1mase2:  I see that as time consuming, if you only have one Flower Girl. Why not confetti or mini pinwheels without the stick, like origami style? You can get them off of sites like Etsy and choose how big you ant them.

My aunt had a beach wedding, and had “seashell girls” instead of Fg. They threw little seashells

Example <<origami pinwheels I saw on Pinterest

We’re having ours hold a “here comes the bride sign” with the ringbearer.

My Flower Girl carried a single flower. My bouquet was all cream roses and she carried one single cream rose. But I didn’t have bridesmaids. I like the signs idea too.

g1mase2:  How about bubbles? I’ve seen that done recently, easier to clean up, cute, and who doesn’t feel happy when they see bubbles? 🙂

We are giving ours mini bouquets, since our ceremony space quickly is turned into our cocktail hour space. Not enough time to clean petals up!

If you want to hand out pinwheels I would have someone at the entrance to the seating area do it.  You can use silk rose petals, don’t have a huge amount and still get the beautiful addition of color.

If you want her to throw something how about red, white and blue confetti/sequins? Its the same effect?

Or maybe she could blow bubbles? That’d be kinda cute though not related

I think pinwheels would take forever for her to hand out and she might get distracted.
