We didn’t have a ring bearer either, but my niece was our flower girl.  Actually, she blew bubbles instead of dropping flower petals (I was afraid I’d trip over them!)  The best man held onto the rings since we didn’t have a ring bearer.

Not horrible at all! In fact, most people don’t have true ring bearers anymore. Even if they have an adorable little man walk down the aisle, more than likely the best man and Maid/Matron of Honor are actually carrying the rings. I’m having two flower girls and no ring bearer in my wedding!

Just fine.  I had two flower girls and no other bridal party the first time I got married.  Not having a flower girl or ring bearer this time around; just a small bridal party (3 BMs and 3 GMs.)

Definitely okay!

I’m having a flower girl (who might even be too old to be called a flower girl – whatever.) and no ring bearer.

@msbanker:  im in the same boat–my fiance’s neice is 2 and she is going to be our flower girl but we dont have anyone age appropriate that could be our ring bearer so we opted to just keep it the flower girl…

I’m doing the opposite ! we don’t have any close friends or family with a daughter that’s old enough… so we decided to just have two ring bearers because I have two young brothers, they will be about 5 1/2 and 4 at the time of the wedding… my mom had me young and im a young bride ! I can’t just pick one brother so we’re going to have two ring bearers!

We’re having a flower girl and no ring bearer.

She will be 7 at the time, I’m not sure what we’re going to do with the rings, we’ve tossed around the idea of tying them on the basket, having the Maid/Matron of Honor bring them up, putting them on my bouquet.. who knows!

My two little future neices will be flower girls, and we might be including the daughter of some good friends (both her parents will be in the wedding party most likely). But we won’t have a ring bearer for the simple fact that there are no little boys in our lives! We don’t know a lot of people with kids, and the ones who do have daughters.
