I’m having a last minute flower girl dilemma! We’re having FI’s 8 year old niece be flower girl. We were on the fence whether to have a flower girl but niece told Future Mother-In-Law that she wanted to be one after watching something on TV.But, I don’t know what color dress to put her in….
My dress is ivory. Bridesmaids are in floor length black.
I’m concerned that sone ivory shades are more yellow than my dress. My dress isn’t in so I don’t have anything to compare against. Also I live in Alabama and the flower girl is in new england. WE won’t be shopping together and its impossoble to compar eshades on the internet.
My other color is teal (actually david’s oasis). Men are wearing ties from Mens Wearhouse in the color this color, I’m adding a oasis sash to my dress (even though its not from David’s). But, since I’m only have small amounts of teal on the wedding party I don’t want to stick her in an all teal dress. My teal is mostly in table linens and decor, not people.
What would you ladies do??? I can’t see putting al ittle girl in black…

I know that most people prefer flowergirls in white, but I adore FG’s in color! Mine wore red and it was gorgeous.
Maybe you can do something with a little of both like this:
Though really I don’t think a slight difference in the ivories will be noticed, so I think if you want to go all ivory it will still look great.

My dress is ivory (light ivory, not yellow at all) and My girls are in floor length black gowns.. I am having 2 flower girls. 1 (my daughter) will be in ivory with a black sash and the other (friend/bm’s daughter) will be in black with an ivory sash.

I agree that I like flowergirls in color. So cute and it makes their outfit a little more special than the standard white with sash.
If you do go the white route the color will be hard to compare to yours unless you are ordering a diamond white to your ivory. Ordering ivory should be okay since you very rarely are right next to each other. If you are still worried have the parents order two dresses in from different brands in ivory and pick the one that matches most and return the other.
