Some of you may remember how thrilled I was that my former students will be flower children in my wedding (I teach children with autism, and this brother-and-sister pair were in my very first classroom, so it means SO MUCH to me that their parents agreed to let them be in my wedding!).
Anyway, so my wedding is now less than six months away, and my bridesmaids have all ordered their dresses.. time to think about a flower girl dress!! YAY!
Next week I will be meeting with the kids and their mom to check out flower girl dresses for the first time. The little girl LOVES dress up, and she’s going to have a blast. But I don’t want to make them drive all over…..
So, my question for you bees…. where is the best place to go to try on AS MANY flower girl dresses as possible in one place?
The boutique I got my dress at only had about 5 sample flower girl dresses…. I checked in a Macy’s, and they only had about 3 that were fancy enough (she really loves being dolled up… so I want to get her a super fancy WOW dress!).
P.S. I offered to pay for the kids’ clothing (her dress and his suit/tux rental) as a thank you to the family, so I’m not concerned about price right now – I just wanna let her try on as many different dresses as possible, and if I can find something cheaper online I’ll worry about that later.
Thanks in advance!

I got ours off Ebay. There are alot at David’s Bridal, they are expensive tho. I paid $12.00 for the Flower Girl dresses. My sil paid $80.00 for her fg dresses from DB. BUT they have a sale going on now.

Find a retailer that carries Lito brand dresses! They are incredibly well made, and inexpensive. Usually under $70, for better dresses than they have at places like Davids. They also do boys suits- and they’re fully lined (and they include pants, jacket, shirt, vest, and tie). Check them out here:

@HisIrishPrincess: Yeah, I’ll probably see about finding it online cheaper after we get an idea. But I want to make sure she is able to pick a dress in person (I want to make absolutely sure she likes it and it’s comfortable on her!). I hadn’t even thought of David’s Bridal… I hate them, but it may be a good spot to check out different styles in person.
@MayaBean: Thanks for the suggestion! I’d never heard of them before!

Right now is definitely the time to be looking since there will be Easter and First Communion dresses out. I would go to JC Penney or another department store like that. I ordered my Flower Girl dress online at Kohls.com for about $25. My wedding colors are purple and turquoise but my Flower Girl will be wearing a lilac color. Good luck!
