I bet the mom would love a place to reuse the first communion dress! I would definitely suggest it!

Most flower girl dresses ARE first communion dresses. The same shops sell them for both occasions.

As a Mom, I would definitely appreciate it if you were  ok with my daughter wearing her communion dress at your wedding.

@mzM2be:  No, that is a great idea and I am sure the mother would very much appreciate it! It is just a suggestion, you’re not saying she HAS to wear it!

I have a daughter, and if I get the chance to reuse an expensive piece of clothing for her, I take it. I’m sure she would really appreciate if you suggested it was ok to use the same one. Just let her know if she chooses to get a different one, that’s fine also.

I think it’s a great idea. It’s funny because my flower girl is “graduating” the 5th grade 3 days before my wedding and I have been begging her mother to let her wear her dress to the graduation so she can get more use out of it and not have to buy a 2nd dress but she is so afraid she will mess it up before the wedding.

My flower girls are my daughters and yes I wouldnt mind re-using a dress at all. Im actually going to look for their dresses after the Easter sale. Hopefully I can find something really cute and hopefully it will be able to fit a yr later.

I think it’s a great idea.  Maybe (if it works) you could get a sash or belt in your wedding color to change it up a little bit, but I think it’s 100% okay to reuse the dress!

I think it is a great idea. And a really beautiful dress would get more than one use. Go for it!

I think it’s a great idea.  Ask her what she thinks!

Def it a great idea! It’s not often that someone gets to wear something like that again! Also, I think she will appreciate the fact that you are saving her money in the end! 🙂

I would definitely suggest it if you like it. It will save Mommy some money and she will be able to use it more than once. I don’t think it’s in poor taste at all.

great idea. The only issue I can see you having, as another bee wrote, is the fit. I like like the idea about adding a sash. They may want to buy a new dress, but most Moms would probably love getting a second use out of the dress.
