Jo Ann Fabric! If you have a store near you, their Simplicity patterns are on sale for 99 cents each until Saturday!!! It’s such a deal! Just go in & look through the Simplicity book & then go to the drawers to find which pattern you want. If you need help getting the right amount of fabric, I’m sure someone there can help!

You can also look at patterns on line.  Just google Simplicity, McCalls, Buttrick & Vogue.

I’m trying to find the pattern that my mom used to make the dress I wore as a flower girl for my flower girl’s grandmother’s (my aunt) wedding!

Jo-Ann Fabric! Are you handy AT ALL w/ a sewing machine? Some of them are so easy! You can search by style online–short, long, etc. They ahve lots of typical little dresses for girls and you can easily have them embellished and spruced up! they have patterns for veils, too, btw, but it was easier to order off ebay (and cheaper)

If it’s too much trouble to go to Jo-Ann, a lot of sites have downloadable PDF files for patterns–you could just print one off! And, man, if someone will maek them for $20, I’d pay for them to be done, too!!!

I’m working on a baby quilt for a friend right now so I’ve been sewing like a maniac. =]

Quilting’s not so bad–i’m doing appliquing and basically i cut out all the owls for the pattern, use this stuff called fusible web (which i just iron the owls on to–it makes one big owl out of all the little ones that stick together easily so they don’t sliding under my machine) then I use a blanket stitch from my machine’s preset to stamp them on basically. Like this:

Really, don’t get scared off of it. I was kinda intimidated so i put it off FOREVER. Now i’m like “omg cake!”
