Where did you get your flower girl dresses?
I have an appointment to go with my SIL and niece/FG this Saturday at AA.
A little background –
My Maid/Matron of Honor got her dress at AA. She and the Flower Girl are my only attendants. I told her she could pick the dress she wanted and said if she wanted to look in department stores too I was fine with that but she opted for dress 7107S all in mediterranean blue (I picked the color). Every time I spoke to my mom about my MOH’s dress (before she bought it), she would say that she would think my Maid/Matron of Honor would like to look at a regular store, despite me telling her that she didn’t want to.
Now my mom and sister have been talking about getting a Flower Girl dress from the Easter selection at a department store for a while now. I thought it would be nice to at least look at AA because we’re less than 4 months out so if I wanted to order something we’re not long on time. I didn’t actively try to hide it from my family but I didn’t mention it to anyone. My brother mentioned something to my sister and I received multiple phone calls and texts today about how much cheaper and nicer the dresses in the department stores would be.
Now this wouldn’t normally be the worst thing in the world. However, FI’s mother bought a dress (before my Maid/Matron of Honor had hers) in royal blue. I don’t think it’s exactly the same but it’s definitely a close relative of my MOH’s dress color. My Fiance is concerned that if the Flower Girl dress doesn’t match colorwise the Maid/Matron of Honor dress that it will look like his mother is a member of the bridal party (if everyone has slightly different shades of blue). FWIW I’m not a fan of plain white Flower Girl dresses, so it needs to be either colored or white with accents.
Anyways, I just thought it would be simpler to get a dress at AA to match but it’s turned into a giant thing now.
Anyone get their Flower Girl dresses from AA? Thoughts? Alternative suggestions?
