- Wedding: July 2013
As soon as we got engaged, my fiance’s lovely neice declared that she wanted “to be the girl with the flowers!” We asked his younger neice, as well. They’ll be 7 and 10 years old for our January wedding. They are currently dress sizes 7/8 and 12, respectively. We found super cute, inexpensive dresses that we love, and my well-meaning mother is insisting that they be ordered now, less they be discountinued or something. My only problem with this is that the wedding is a little less than 4 months away, and there’s no way of knowing how much the girls will grow between now and then.
What should we do? Order them now one size up per girl… meaning a size 10 for 7-yr-old (that sounds huuuuge fto me or a 7 yr old) and a size 14 for the 10 year old? Or since she’s still fitting into 7s, an 8 for the little one and a 14 for the big one? The dresses tie in the back, so they’re somewhat adjustable, and I figure it’s easier to make a dress smaller, rather than larger, if needed? Both girls are thin/normal weight.
Thoughts/opinions appreciated! Thanks in advance :o)
