Who are having FGs for their wedding?
I totally have got the cure for NOT looking at anymore white bridal dresses: look at Flower Girl dresses! (and cultural dresses for specific ceremonies, but that’s already on another thread — on cheongsam )
I started a Pinterest board for Flower Girl dresses as it’s a lot easier to see what my FGs would like. Can you believe how much more exciting it is to shop around for flower girl dress designs than my own?? I’m over the moon! (It’s okay, I have got a cute dress addiction) My main colours are teal and ivory, but there isn’t going to be a strict colour theme since Fiance gets to choose his.
My goal is to find wearable dresses (post-wedding) that two little girls get to choose. My top favourites so far are tea-length ones:
The girls already have their own ballerina shoes they can incorporate; I think that is neat.
(WARNING: the watters.com Seahorse line is highly addictive to look through as you can pick your wedding colours before-hand!)
For non-white dresses, this one, but definitely fore-go the butterflies:
For non-white fairy-tale like, I saw this on Etsy after searching for “Teal Flower Girl dress”
And for simple cuteness for little girls, with the romance of illusion neckline:
For comfort on a possible hot summer day, I would go with cotton:
(Etsy seller: OliveandFern)
(Had I known Flower Girl dresses were this cute, I would have started from there and get a seamstress to make an adult-version for a wedding dress. Just kidding! )
Let’s see your top possible choices for inspiration! 🙂
