normally the parents of the flowergirl buy the dress, but i paid for our girls’ dresses since the families will be incurring a lot of costs to travel to our wedding

I think it’s pretty standard that like the bridesmaids pay for their dresses, the flowergirl (well, her family) pays for her dress.  There can always be exceptions, however.

For instance, my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses ended up costing more than I thought, so I paid for a portion of each girls dress.  If you feel the Flower Girl dress is too expensive for her family, you could offer to pay for part (or all) if you wanted.

Typically the family pays… all my bridesmaids paid for there own dresses except my God Daughter,  I am buying her Jr. Bridesmaids dress… but thats only because she is 13 and I didn’t want to have to have her parents pay for it… but all six other bridesmaids paid for there own. but if you want to pay then go for it…
