- Wedding: June 2014
Hey Bees! I need your help! I am getting married on June 28th and things are coming along great! I have, however, run into one major snag. My best friend, and Maid/Matron of Honor, has a daughter who will turn 1 a week before the wedding and I know she would love nothing more than to have her be a Flower Girl. My fear is that she will not be walking well. I do not want to have a wagon and someone pulling her down the aisle and I also do not want my Maid/Matron of Honor to carry her down the aisle (she actually suggested this!). We have already asked the daughter of some other friends to be a Flower Girl, and while she is also young (18 mos.) she is bright and follows directions well already. I haven’t even told my Maid/Matron of Honor about the other Flower Girl yet because I’m afraid she’ll just assume that her little one gets to do it too. If the little one can walk steadily on her own or hold the other FG’s hand then that won’t be a problem, but since she is so young, we have no guarantee how things will be in 3 1/2 months!
How do I tell my Maid/Matron of Honor that while I love her and her daughter dearly, it just won’t work out to have her as a FG? I’d be happy to wait and play it by ear but programs need to be made up and a dress would need to be ordered!
