Hi bees! Just wondering on everyone’s thoughts. I want my fiances younger sister to be in my wedding party, but im not sure whether to make her a junior bridesmaid or a flower girl? I fee like she’s too old to be a flower girl, even tho she is so tiny and short 🙂 but is she old enough to be a junior bridesmaid? She will almost be 11 by the time of the wedding.

I am in a similar position. My sister’s daughters wll be 8 and 7.. I think it’s just a little too old and they are too tall to be flower girls.. they are going to pretty much be doing the same thing.. just different title.. So Junior Bridesmaids for me.. I think 11 may be too old to be a flower girl

I am in the same position with my 11 year old cousin. I opted to make her a junior bridesmaid and she will walk down the aisle helping our little ring bearer (he will only be about 14 months).

I think 6 and under Flower Girls. 7+ Jr. Bridesmaids

My niece/goddaughter will be 9 at our wedding and we are having her be a jr. bridesmaid

My fiance’s 9 y/o niece is our “flower girl” but we are dressing her as a junior bridesmaid and not having her listed on the programs as a flower girl, although we will ask her to do the honors of dropping the petals. We didn’t want a screaming child…similarly, her 10 year old brother will be the “ring bearer” aka minigroomsman

I’d say 9+ jr. bridesmaid. My 11 yr old cousin is going to be a jr in my wedding.

Generally, the cutoff age for a flowergirl is 9 and a jr bridesmaid is 10-17.
