I don’t have any flower girls in my wedding because I don’t have any close enough girls to ask.  However, I love the sign idea, and I agree that the throwing petals can be difficult for little ones.  I like the idea of carrying the flower balls.  Having flower girls is just all about them looking adorable 🙂

I found an adorable flower girl dress on zulily for just $30!  Also, check stores now for easter dresses.  I’m going to try having my flower girl throw petals but I think the sign and the flower balls sound great!

I was going to have ours do the pomander ball until I found a flower girl basket on like super clearance. But it is a great idea, along with the sign, if you’re not sure they will throw petals. I am hoping mine just makes it down the aisle. She’ll be almost 4 so I have zero expectations except for her to look adorable!

I’m having my flower girls hold flower wands. Like this but in red.

hollysmith92:  What about making three signs for each of the three of them to carry “Groom” “Here comes” “Your bride”

This is a non-pro pic of my youngest as a flower girl in a wedding last month. The venue had a policy against dropping petals- so she just carried the cute little basket with flowers inside.

eeniebeans:  I saw the picture before your description and I thought to myself “Wow, what a beautiful child. They had to photoshop her cuz she is just perfect”. Then I read your description! Haha, you have stunning daughter!!!

hollysmith92:  My niece was our flower girl, she carried a kissing ball and I had my SIL walk down the aisle with her. It worked out well. 🙂

hollysmith92:  We had 3 flower girls; two 5-year olds and an 8-year old. The younger two carried baskets with flowers and walked down the aisle side by side, while the older girl walked a few feet behind them and carried a miniature bouquet.

MissCorgi22 about checking department stores around Easter and Christmas for cute and cheaper dress options. There are also websites like http://www.pinkprincess.com which offer a wide array of colors and styles. We found our dress on there initially, but actually ended up ordering from Amazon!
