I was just bit by the “flower petal” bug; as in, 30 minutes ago. After googling flower petals, I found a good deal for 80 cups of petals for $50 +$15 shipping (ugh), which seems like a steal, compared to the rest of the prices. However, I can’t afford to cover or line a 50 foot aisle, but I love love love the idea of us standing on petals.
So, my question is: why not make a flower petal carpet at the end of the aisle that the man and I and the officiator stand on? Kinda like a reverse Chuppah. Has anyone seen this? Do you think it’s a good idea? Overkill? Too small to make an impact?
[To give you a little more to go on, we’re getting married in the woods (high desert, though, so think dry and brown, not lush and green) in front of a small bonsai-ish juniper and the only aisle decor I’m having is a bark chip aisle courtesy of my parents and two large flower pots at the head of the aisle.]
