I talked to the florist about a month ago about the flowers I wanted for bouquets. She just got back to me now saying it’s probably best for move my date up a bit like we had talked about because peonies season are until the end of July so I was cutting it close.. no problem, I moved up the date.
Then she told me that she is still waiting to hear back from the provider about the daisies because they aren’t sure if they can get them for me.. now not to be rude, but isn’t that their job? I will post a picture of what I want my girls bouquets to look like and can someone tell me if it actually is possible to get these? and if I should ask another florist about it? Or should I just skip this and pick my 2nd bouquet I like? I want you ladies to be honest! Do you even think this would be nice as a bouquet or is it just the picture?
I do have another bouquet in mind, but this one just seemed cheaper and easier. My colours are soft pink and yellow, the girls will be in flowy chiffon pink dresses.

I thought you could get daisies any time of the year…?

@LaurenKK: I thought so too, since you can get them shipped from anywhere.. right? But she said they are more of the “wildflower” (the kind you pick in fields) that she may not be able to get them.

I can’t imagine that you wouldn’t be able to get daisies in the summer. There are many varieties of daisies some of which bloom all summer.

@julies1949: She told me she had other daisies but they were bigger then I wanted and green in the middle. I wouldn’t of minded getting them if she couldn’t get the smallers ones but she told me that when the larger kind get yellow in the middle they also get brown and look like they are dying… and the main reason I want them is for the yellow (my colour)

Some florists only have access to certain flowers, and some flowers are extremely expensive to get at certain times of year even if they are available to your florist. At least she is being honest with you. I think you need to prioritize. What’s more important to you? When you have your wedding? The peonies? The wildflower daisies? There’s no reason not to ask a few other florists though, especially if your wedding really isn’t until summer 2014.
