We did fake leaves!!  A lot easier for us to clean up and then if someone stepped on one, we didn’t have a bunch of pieces to pick up after!!

depends… what do the preserved ones look like?  Do you mean like ones stored in books with wax paper?  Because those are pretty crumbly.  So if those are what you mean I would say real.

Nevermind I can’t read… I would go with the fake ones if they’re good fakes

I’m thinking fake would be much easier plus they will stay looking nice after you’ve walked over them. Good luck!

I think the look of real leaves would be nicer. Can’t you just pick ones still on the tree or freshly fallen so they’re not too dry?

I think even if they are not dry that real ones will make a bloddy mess

Fake ones will work just fine! Just get nice fake ones. The one thing to look out for though is the “vein” of the leaf. There are some fake leaves that look really nice from the front, but on the back the just have this awful, neon-green, waxy vein. Real ones would be preferable, but it is true that they will make more of a mess when you step on them.

Are you doing an aisle runner? If so, I’d use real ones, and just roll them up in the runner. If not, though, fake ones are probably best to be safe.

what a unique idea! love it! i would use some realistic looking fakes just in the interest of them not crumbling and making a mess. and also props to you for being considerate of those who will be cleaning, too many people wouldn’t even think of that

I love the idea and also agree that fakes are the best decision–your guests definitely won’t be scruitinzing them to see if they’re real or fake and there are some very realistic fake leaves out there! I do think real would be messy and problematic, whether dried or fresh, while fake will help you keep your sanity and not worry about the mess at all!

I think fake ones will look better and be easier on everyone!

Netterz0087 aw that’s terrible he had to endure that. but yea it’s awesome that you made an effort to be considerate to others in that situation. oh yea i totally understand, people think just cause you get paid to do something entitles them to treat you badly. i work in retail and i have had good customers but i have had some really horrid ones as well and the thing that always bothered me was their sense of entitlement like just cause you’re being paid does not mean people are allowed to treat you poorly, where is the common decency in the world. and i have had friends who have had to work the janitorial shift at my store, and i won’t go into detail but let’s just say they’ve had to clean up what immature people have left in the restrooms several times an it’s just sad.
