How much is reasonable to spend on flowers for a wedding? I’m feeling tight on the cash where I think i won’t even be able to afford flowers and I’m wondering how much do I have to save up. I called a few florists but they ask me what my flower budget is, how can I say well, its pretty much nonexistent but what can you help me with?

I think it depends on what you want (centerpiece, corsage, bouquets, or just one of those listed, etc). I’m not spending more than $300 on my flowers, no matter what… florists may laugh at you for that price. But I don’t want to get all fancy, don’t need centerpieces w/ flowers, probably will do the least expensive flowers that I like. Hope that helps!

I ordered all of these as a set from etsy.com for under $500, which leaves centerpieces.

Only you can say what is reasonable.. but I can tell you if you are on a budget.. that doing the flowers yourself is a lot cheaper.. weather you do silk or fresh.

Talk to the florists about what you want your wedding to look like, how many bouquets, corsages, bouttonnieres etc you need, then ask them for a ballpark estimate. Get some idea what flowers they would be using for that price.
If you need to cut costs you can change flowers, use your bouquet and your bridesmaids bouquets as centerpieces by placing them in a vase. You can also use artificial flowers or DIY if you have the interest.
The price of flowers varies widely across the country. maybe try posting this in your geographic area also.
