David Austen roses! They don’t look like regular roses at all and have the same large bloom that peonies do

Highly suggest Dahlias!! I had peonies at my wedding, but my favorite flower is a toss up between the two.

Ranunculus is somewhere between a rose and a peony–no idea what the season is but they are available in a wide color range.

There are a large variety of garden roses that have a similar appearance to a peony, with large open blooms and high petal volume.  They’re actually one of the best peony stand-ins. Ranunculus also have a nice round, layered bloom:

What about chrysanthemum’s or “football mums”. I really want peonies to for my wedding but I think they are a great alternative.

Dahlias would be perfect for summer! They’re highly underrated, have large full blooms, and come in many beautiful colors!

mnl2017 :  Why aren’t they available? They’re available somewhere in August. They should be able to ship them in.

I was told that garden roses are a good substitue for peonies.

We’re doing garden roses in place of peonies, too! I’m not a huge rose lover, but they looked so much like peonies I realized a rose by any other name…was still pretty. 😉
