Now that the wedding is over, I want to make sure no one else has the same issues as I did. I hope someone looking up this woman sees my reviews in multiple places and takes them into consideration!!
Let me preface this review by saying that I selected Hollie because her portfolio is BEAUTIFUL. Once upon a time, I am willing to believe that she was one of the best in her field. She is currently ill and needs to go on sabbatical.
I booked Hollie in February for my October wedding, wanting to be done with this long before the actual wedding. It turns out that the item I wanted was on backorder. We waited until August before switching to plan B. It was at that point that Hollie stopped returning my calls and answering my emails. It turns out she had been in and out of the hospital. I offered to take back my money and let her focus on her health and she refused, saying my flowers would be out by the end of the week.
The week came and went. Nothing. I spent another week trying to get in touch with her and I got back “hospital, husband mailing them” Finally 2 weeks after that email, I received my bouquets. Hollie charges $300 for the package I ordered. I have pictures of what came in the mail and I could have put it together for $50. It came falling apart, covered in glue trails, nothing like advertised on the bottom (we had discussed a certain type of tie on the ribbon on mine and a diamond wrap for the bridesmaids). The corsages came in pieces, the box was covered in molting flowers and rhinestones that had fallen off. My bouquet had multiple flowers in it that were ripped or stained.
I was devastated. I emailed Hollie asking her to either refund me in full and I would put the flowers back in the mail immediately or to charge me what it would cost in supplies and I would fix them myself. She told me to mail them back. I shipped them out and tracked them. The date the flowers were returned, I asked for my money back and she said the check was in the mail.
That was the last I ever heard of her. I tried calling multiple times a week, I sent out multiple emails and I even double checked to make sure she was still alive. As I heard from her, she has a husband and children, and the line I was calling was a family line. Any of them could have replied with “in hospital.” Two words could have made all of the difference between a neutral review and a warning to avoid this vendor. A check arrived a month later for a shorted amount. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS WOMAN.
Thankfully, an amazing woman at AC Moore helped me out and put together my beautiful bouquets for half the cost and twice as beautiful.
