KateriPetrie:  wow! Looks like I was under budgeting myself. I was thinking it would cost 1500 for floral centerpieces plus a head table for 350 people. Boy was I wrong!! lol.

We were quoted $3000+ from various florists for our wedding. 24 tables, a sweetheart table, plus flowers for the cafe tables on the patio, guest book table, cake table and card/gift table…..our budget was $1000 max so we decided to DIY it all since we wouldnt get much for $1000 from a florist for that many tables. We are doing blush pink, cream and white roses with hydrangea and seeded eucalyptus. We are spending $600-800 on the flowers and $200 for vases and votive candle holders for the tables.

I used the budget calculater from the Knot to determine my flower budget which came out to be $1,600. With tax I was quoted at 1,900 for:

  • My bridal bouquet and throw bouquet
  • 7 bridesmaids bouquets
  • 7 groomsman bouts
  • 4 Corsagges for moms and grandmas
  • 2 bouts for the dads
  • Flowergirl petals
  • 18 floral arrangements for reception tables (I am providing my own lanterns)
  • Floral arrangement for gazebo
  • flowers attached to lanterns to line the aisles (I am providing the lanterns)
  • A few extra flowers to decorate my cake

My advice would be to decide on a budget, and tell the florist what you need (how many bouquets, how many centerpieces) and see what they can do. I havent had my wedding yet but here were my inspiration photos. We are only using hydrangea, roses, and spray roses for a November wedding in Florida.

jrae05:  It also depends on the flowers you decide to get and how many.  I had picked out some nice flowers that ended up being $4 a piece! think of a bouquet of those!  Our florist has great ideas and had flowers that look very similar at a much cheaper price.  Talk about all of your options, if it’s possible for you, we are also doing a budget plan through them as well.  Maybe that is an option of how to get what you want. 🙂

My bouquet will be $100, $50 for each the girls (i have 4), $125 for 10 boutineers, $54 for mother/grandmother corsages and $30 for 2 flower girl baskets. It worked out to be $518 after tax. Mine & my girls will be stock flower, the mothers and bouts will be a purple wildflower mix.

I told our florist we only wanted to spend $3,000 and to make it work with whatever flowers were in season.  For that price, we got bouquets and boutineers for 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen and 2 jr groomsmen, 2 smaller bouquets for our Jr bridesmaids, an arbor for our beach wedding, ceremony flowers to line the aisle, enough flowers to decorate for our 200 person wedding (I forgot how many tables we had), and flowers for our parents.  This price also included vases, candles and shells.

I’m not big on flowers but I did want them to be fresh and not fake.  I will say, however, I can’t remember what the hell the arrangements looked like at all…

MrsHistory-Bee:  i wanted to spend $3K or less. And even that was alot, but for what I wanted I knew it would be pricey. Considering where I live, thats cheap for a florist.

I believe went spent about $2800 or $2900. We had 17 centerpieces, 4 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquet, my bouquet, 8 bouts, 3 corsages. Then as a bonus (he did this for us for free) he gave us two huge baskets for the church, a decorated our sweetheart table. We had a mix of hydrangeas, roses, calalilys, and dendrobium orchids

WOW I love these... will they look good if the reception area isn't quite dark yet? @Charlotte Merritt or @Stacey Werly any thoughts :)?

Fill the tall cylinder vases with a bit of sand and/or shells on the bottom. Fill the case up to almost the top with water and place floating tea light. So pretty and simple.

My husband’s parents paid for the flowers (yay!!!) and didn’t give us a budget, but we stayed within reason. I believe everything cost around $1750. We had 4 bridesmaids bouquets, my bouquet, 14 centerpieces, flowers for the cake, 4 boutineers (dads & grandpas), 2 corsages (grandmas), and we had rose petals & candles on the mantle that was behind our sweetheart table.

ETA: We also had flowers in the church as well. Some that were up at the altar & then on the pews.

My bouquet: It was blush calla lilies, ivory roses, and blush orchids

Bridesmaids bouquet: was similar to mine, except it had hot pink orchids

Centerpieces: 3 cylindrical vases of submerged orchids, with floating candles, and candles around the vases as well.

I am not yet married, but it reallllly depends on how many people/tables you are having. I have a beyond huge family and so does my fiancé. We are inviting 700 people, hoping 600 show up! We were quoted $10,000! Luckily, our florist deals with huge weddings and requires a small deposite. The rest will be paid after the wedding

so we are looking at 60 tables, plus the bridal party and ceremony
