My fiance & I are having a discussion about our “flowers” for the bridal party. I ran across a neat idea of having muffs as a bouquet, but he said he doesn’t like the idea. But I wanted to run it by you bees to see what you think and voice any opionions.
We are getting married on 12/10/11.

IMO, muffs are outdated. I had to carry one as a Bridesmaid or Best Man 10 years ago and didn’t care for them. I wouldn’t like them now either. Sorry, just being honest!
If you’re looking to do something creative and/or festive, what about something like this:

Personally I think the muff idea is cute. I’ve been to a lot of weddings and have never seen that done. If your Fiance really doesn’t like it then it may not be the right idea for your wedding. Not sure how much your Fiance really cares about the flowers. I know my Fiance generally says all the decisions are up to me but when he dislikes something he sticks with it.

You could do something like a fur clutch have an updated version of the fur muff.

Yeah not a fan of the furry clutch either. Sounded good in theory, but that just does not grab me. When you were talking about bouquets with your Fiance were you thinking of doing any other alternatives to flowers? I think the pine cone bouquet posted earlier is kind of neat.
You could probably glam up a muff with a brooch or something if you want to make it look a little more modern.

My daughter so wants to carry a fur muff to our winter wonderland wedding. My Bridesmaid or Best Man said we could attach flowers to it to make it tie in if I opt not to have all the girls carry one. I love the idea!

Adding some rosettes/fascinators might really modernize the muffs. Like so:

@peachbaby4008: Thanks! Just thinking of options for the bride-to-be (and future groom, as well).

@melisslp: Good job. I saw this post earlier and was iffy on the muff, but didn’t want to blast the idea without coming up with any alternatives 🙂 I really like the pinecone bouquet.
