This is how my florist presented it to me and broke it down. her work is amazing and I’d recommend her in a heartbeat. For everything we got it came to about $ 5200. This was on the lower end after interviewing with a couple of different florist in the NJ/NYC area. her website is http://iviejoyflowers.com/

padillawicz: that quote is from bloominous, the Darby Smart of florals. We do have to do some assembly but not too bad.

I finally signed flowers with whole foods though. $350 for the same, but no delivery. Figured it was worth it because it would take the same time for pickup assembled as it would for assembly of delivered flowers.

I paid $120 for 12 bouquets of roses and baby’s breath from Trader Joe’s, which we used to make simple DIY centerpieces. It was fun and easy! I highly recommend Trader Joe’s for flowers, as the price couldn’t be beat, they looked great, and the service is awesome too. The only drawback is you can’t really pick the color of your flowers there (but I was relaxed about colors).

We decided not to DIY the bouquets and boutonnieres. We used an upscale grocery store (Central Market) and paid $350 for 1 bridal bouquet, 5 bridesmaid bouquets, and 7 boutonnieres for the guys and mothers. So it was about $470 for all the flowers, including extra jars that we used to line the aisle. I was happy! Haven’t gotten photos back yet but the stuff from Central Market looked extremely professional; you would never know it was from a grocery store and not a fancy florist.
