My floral centrepieces were part of a package at our reception venue, but I was quoted upwards of $180 per bouquet and around $15 per bout.

That. Is. Insane.

So that’s 22 arrangements (1 bride, 4 BMs + 17 tables)  at about $270 each. Unless they are really, really elaborate that is crazy.

(I can’t quote my exact amount because (a) it was 20+ years ago, (b) someone else paid, and (c) she bought the flowers and then we did the arrnagements and (d) we also had flowers for the church. But it was nothing, nothing like that).

@thisisbrucebanner:  Get another quote.  Bridal bouquet was $180 for roses, medium size.  Not buying any other flowers as I have made them in silk.  Table arrangement is being provided by the venue.

My neice paid $1500 for 3 bridesmaids, 1 flower girl, 8 bouts, her bouquet, corsarges for MOB and MIL and a flower for each place setting.  Plus two floral arrangements for the church.  Tables were decorated with candles.

I think it depends on a lot of factors. When I was planning a wedding in Australia (we opted to do a Destination Wedding instead) I did get quotes upwards of $5K but I am in a capital city and wanted specific flowers.

Op are you in Melbourne or Sydney (this will hike up the prices)? Did you ask for exotics (orchids, specific roses like brazillian or a specific colour or out of season flowers)? Are the centrepieces elaborate as Paula1248 mentioned?

@thisisbrucebanner:  If they are popular/really good at their job, again that will influence their prices. Good old supply and demand.
