I think silk can be nice as long as you don’t use anything in an artificial color. Baby blue roses, tie dye florals etc. all look tacky to me.

Nice, realistic-looking silk flowers can cost just as much as real and then you have the hassle of getting rid of them after. I wouldn’t go for fake but rather buy real flowers from a bulk site like Sam’s Club or Costco or a grower, if that’s an option.

I ordered mine from afloral.com. The white/purple peonies are Real Touch brand and they feel really real. The white ranunculas are regular silk. I’m not done arranging them but here is the start to my bouquet.

Depending on what kind of flowers you want the real thing may be cheaper. Real peonies ended up being cheaper than fake for me! I ordered from fiftyflowers.com. They will arrive 3 days before my wedding.

Unfathomably:  this! I considered using hydrangeas from Michaels, but they are $9 a stem and from Costco I can get the real thing for $3.25 a stem! I’m just goin to tell guests that they can take some home with them if they like, and any leftover flowers I’m going to donate to a personal care home.
