I need some help/suggestions….I was going to do all my flowers DIY from fiftyflowers.com, but have decided to scope out florists to do my bouquet, moh, 3 maids, 4 corsages, and 9 bouts. Still considering doing centerpieces myself….we’ll see!
Anyway, any florists out there that you would recommend? I live downtown, but am flexible if the person/price is right!

I would recommend Jennifer Cahill of The Tangled Web: http://www.the-tangled-web.net
But, she definitely books up way in advance, so a couple of other suggestions would be Dana from Bumble Bee Landing: http://www.bumblebeelanding.com
or Julie and Apryl from Petalena: http://www.petalena.com
Hope this helps!!

We used Louis Barry–they’re located in the Pru. Gorgeous flowers and easy to work with, and florals for our whole wedding came in under $1500 (all bouquets, ceremony decorations, and reception centerpieces)

I got an email from this company a couple months ago. I believe they are located in Newtonville http://www.maweddingflorist.com/. If you go into their wedding section they have packages starting at $350 and depending on the size of your wedding party add on for the number of people.

I am using Audrey’s Flower Shop. They have a showcase in N. Reading and Gloucester. Her work is amazing and her prices are extremely reasonable.

Thanks so much! Funny, I never thought that you needed to book a florist so far out! 🙂

@roxy – I’m also planning to use Audrey’s Flowers! What type of flowers are you planning to use?

I completely second Jen Cahill from the tangled web. She is absolutely awesome and her prices were way less than other quotes that I received.

Oh I work in events and LOVE Twig http://www.twigboston.com/
Also, try Andrew at Ilex Designs in the South End http://ilexflowers.com/- he does breath-taking work!

@littlecat, I met with Andrew at Ilex, and l-o-v-e his work, but the prices were a little outside our range (centerpieces and bridal party flowers = $2500ish without tax and delivery/set-up). Honestly, if we weren’t spending so much on our caterer (catering alone is over 50% of our budget, nevermind the site rental, which is another 15%), I would use him in a heartbeat!
I ended up going with a florist in Manchester, New Husband (where I am originally from), which quoted me considerably lower than those in the Boston area, and whose work I am familiar with from when I was growing up!
Thanks so much for all your help! 🙂

You should check out http://www.adfloraldesign.com/ Andrea is awesome! She does all the work herself, so her set up costs and things are low. Her work is beautiful and she’s great at working with a budget. She’s based in Stoneham, about 10 miles north of Boston.

Hi I’m using Kelly Harris, she’s been great to work with. Her prices are reasonable, she works with all types of budgets. Check out her website, she’s also on facebook.

We have selected WInston Flowers after seeing them at a friend’s wedding. I think it depends on your budget and what you want. I think Winstons does great work and they said they could work within my budget. I was told to take a deep breath at our reception right when we walk into the room because the memory of the scent of the flowers you choose will stick with you forever. Can’t wait!
